Welcome to my blog - Lolly Lids! This is all so new to me, so please bear with me!

Lolly Lids is something I started as a hobby. As a stay-at-home mom, I need hobbies! Over the summer of 2010, I taught myself how to crochet. It started out as scarves, because all I could manage was a straight line (if I was lucky!).

In October of 2010, I learned how to make a hat. Having a daughter, I thought it would be cute to make whimsical hats for her to have fun with, and so began my experimentation with designs. I don't follow patterns, I just crochet and let the hat take shape.

After sharing pictures of my hats with friends and family, I received a huge outpour of requests... and so began Lolly Lids. I never in a million years expected this hobby to turn into anything more than just that. I am super thankful to all my friends and family who have supported me, and even more thankful that they have encouraged me to do this!
